Adams High School football, in Rochester Hills, Michigan, was in need of an overhaul of their mascot, apparel, and merchandise ordering system. They requested taking their Highlander mascot and updating him into the 3-point football stance.
With a strong background in Illustration we hand drew this new mascot combining the look and feel of their original drawing with the requested pose.
During the drawing process, we had to keep in mind it’s application in merchandise and the complexity of applying a detailed design to various products. Screen printing is cost-effective at lower amounts of colors, and some heavy detail can be tough to register on press. We kept the design four colors with a black halftone to add darker shades to each color.
With the new mascot as a starting point, we created Adams Football logo variations.
We setup their online store so parents could easily navigate and purchase the merchandise.
